I am an Assistant Professor at Department of Informatics Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto and I co-lead the Software Reliability Lab. I was a recipient of the Amazon Research Award in Automated Reasoning in the Fall 2024 for the project “Overcoming Barriers to the Adoption of Verification-Aware Languages”. I was also awarded the Atlantic Security Award.
In the Fall 2026, I am also a Guest Professor in the Informatics Department at TU Wien. In the Spring 2026, I was a Visiting Researcher at University College London in the CREST group. In 2023, I was a Visiting Researcher at Carnegie Mellon University under the CMU Portugal Program, hosted at CyLab Security and Privacy Institute. I am also a member of the Formal Methods Teaching Committee and a Fellow of The Higher Education Academy (HEA).
My research focuses on encouraging a wider adoption of software verification by creating tools and methods that hide the complexities of verifying software. Much of my most recent work overlaps with the area of software engineering.
